Hands Producing Hope specializes in creating fair trade and ethically made goods, empowering disadvantaged women globally. They firmly believe that consumers hold the power to make a tangible impact through conscious shopping. Collaborating with artisans in Costa Rica, Rwanda, and refugee and immigrant artisans in the USA, they directly impact the lives of women overcoming adversity. Prioritizing sustainability, they source zero waste, local, and sustainable materials whenever feasible. For instance, wall hangings are crafted from reclaimed yarn and fabric, Rwandan baskets from local grasses or upcycled plastic rice sacks, and jewelry incorporates seeds collected by Costa Rican artisan partners. Operating programs in Rwanda, Costa Rica, and Baton Rouge, they offer artisan skills training, maternal health education, adult literacy programs, fair trade artisan work, cooperative formation and training, small business training, and mentoring.

I had been wondering what to do with my larger/dangly earrings, as they were piling up in my drawer. I happened upon Ethical Trade Co as Manuel was opening up the store. When I saw this Haitian Tree of Life I immediately thought about hanging my earrings on it, and it worked out lovely!
This is a very cool ornament. My wife loves cranes and this looks good on the tree. The paint is beautiful and the ornament is sturdy.
