Just a quick note – our retail store will be closed this entire week of Thanksgiving.
That news might have you do a double take…
After all, isn’t Black Friday one of the busiest shopping days of the year?!
Yes, it is.
But the consumerist practices normally associated with Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) cause massive harm to the environment, and often place extra stress and pressure on underpaid, hourly workers.
This exploitation is in direct opposition to our mission at Ethical Trade Co., which is to support people around the globe with earning a fair, living wage.
As such, we’ll be closed during Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
Our retail location will reopen on Wednesday, Nov 29 from 11am-5pm.
In the meantime, we will be spending time with our family and friends, and we hope that you will be able to do the same. If you’re able, we encourage you to get outside, enjoy yourself, and take a break from your holiday shopping.
