Women’s Peace Collection is a woman-owned fair trade social enterprise dedicated to selling crafts handmade by marginalized artisans across the globe. Their wholesale collection features sterling silver, brass, and gemstone jewelry designed and handcrafted in Bali by talented silversmiths. A small, close-knit group of artisans lives and works together on a family fair trade cooperative and compound in Bali. Balinese silversmiths are renowned for a traditional and unique filigree style, resembling lace and scrollwork. The artisans pride themselves on honoring their culture while incorporating an innovative and modern touch with each piece they create. The jewelry is often accented with semi-precious stones, as well as abalone shell and mother-of-pearl. Women’s Peace Collection is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation. All of their artisan partners are paid excellent wages, and their products are ethically sourced and consist of sustainable materials. Their mission is to help eliminate poverty and promote peace through fair trade practices.

About This Product

These exquisite earrings are handmade by talented silversmiths in Bali. They feature a smaller and wider inner spiral within a larger and thinner outer spiral. The two spirals flow together to achieve inner and outer harmony. Measure approximately 1 1/2" long x 1" wide. All of our products are shipped with cards containing information about fair trade and the corresponding artisan group.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This jewelry was designed and handcrafted by a close knit group of artisans who live and work together on a family fair trade cooperative and compound in Bali. Bali silversmiths are renowned for a traditional and unique filigree style; these artisans pride themselves on honoring their culture while incorporating an innovative and modern touch with each piece they create. The intricate filigree styles are handmade by the women in the group. As one of the men in the community stated with a laugh: "the men don't have the patience."
