Several people have been reaching out to us, worrying that if they order, it won’t arrive by December 25.
Not to fear.
Think of this email as your holiday prep guide so that you get the best fair-trade gifts possible and everything arrives in time for the holidays. 🥰
It’s easy as 1, 2, 3, 4!
1. Know your shipping dates.
The most important thing is to know the key upcoming shipping dates. They are:
- Free/Standard Shipping: Saturday, December 16 (3 days from today!)
- Priority Mail: Monday, December 18
- Priority Mail Express Service: Wednesday, December 20
Make sure to select the appropriate shipping when you check out – wherever you’re shopping!
2. Schedule pickup (or call for delivery) if you’re pressed for time.
If you’re in the Madison area, you can also stop by our retail location on Tulane Avenue for contactless pickup. After you place your order, we will have it ready for you within 24 hours.
If contactless pickup isn’t your thing, you can shop in-person (see our extended hours below). Alternatively, if your order is greater than $45, you can request that our team deliver your items personally (Madison, WI, only).
3. If in doubt, shop popular items (or those on sale!).
Getting gifts for everyone on your list can be overwhelming. If you’re unsure what to get, we recommend you check out our holiday collection. We have a variety of ornaments available, as well as decorative metal trees, handmade canvas stockings, and other delights!
If you’re getting ornaments, be sure to check out both the ornaments we’ve sourced from Singing Rooster who’s based in Haiti, and the ornaments by Creating Comfort Lab, a Ukrainian brand.

4. Join us in-person for our extended holiday hours.
We know that sometimes it comes down to crunch time. If you find yourself still shopping for gifts in the couple of days leading up to the holidays, we’ve got you covered. We’ll have longer hours than usual if you want to shop with us in-person at our retail location on Tulane Avenue in Madison, WI.
The week before Christmas, we will be open EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Come join us Monday, December 18, through Saturday, December 23, from 11am-5pm.
Upcoming Events
The holidays are in full swing! We’ll be hosting/participating in TWO different events this Saturday, December 16. Let the festivities commence! 🎄
- Ethical Trade Co. Trunk Show: Stop by our retail location on the north side of Madison for a trunk show featuring items by Lev Apparel and The Fair Shirt. We will also have additional merchandise available that you can’t find any other time of year! The trunk show will take place from 11am to 5pm, and it will be a great opportunity to drink cocoa, pick up fair-trade items, and socialize with other Madisonians.
- Garver Feed Mill Winter Market: If you’re feeling a different vibe on Saturday, come visit our booth at Garver Feed Mill. We’ll be there from 11am to 4pm.
On the whole, there’s a LOT to be excited about as we go into the final several days before Christmas. We hope we’ll see you at one (or both!) of our events or that you’ll grace our digital storefront instead.
