Zuri firmly believes that sustainable economies develop from businesses that operate fairly and ethically and create products that people want. Having spent a combined decade in Nairobi, they've seen how much both corruption and aid can distort markets, resulting in wasted resources and unsustainable livelihoods. They hope that by paying fair wages, sourcing locally, and making a product that our customers truly love, they will be helping to support a long-term, sustainable economy in Kenya.

I love my dress! The retro pattern makes me think of my mom in the 70’s. I knew the dress would look great and I love that it is supporting so many fair trade communities in Africa and India- but I was surprised to discover that it feels like I’m wearing my most comfy pajamas. I can’t wait to pick out my next one. Look good, feel good, do good!
I am totally in love with my Zuri dress! The fabrics were so beautiful it was hard to choose. The dress is very flattering, and so comfortable, like wearing Pj's! You can wear it as a dress, or on buttoned as a jacket over a T-shirt. The first day I wore it I got tons of compliments. I look forward to seeing what new fabrics they come up with, as there may be another dress in my future.
My aunt is a vegetarian and wanted an ethical leather messenger bag. This colorful recycled leather bag was exactly what she was looking for, it’s beautiful!
My students love the gecko that I put on the wall near the alphabet! Very colorful!
The round pottery serving dish is simple & elegant! Love supporting the artisans in Ukraine!
I had been wondering what to do with my larger/dangly earrings, as they were piling up in my drawer. I happened upon Ethical Trade Co as Manuel was opening up the store. When I saw this Haitian Tree of Life I immediately thought about hanging my earrings on it, and it worked out lovely!
This is a very cool ornament. My wife loves cranes and this looks good on the tree. The paint is beautiful and the ornament is sturdy.
