This is a very good soup-for-supper meal. We added big ham hock while it cooked and pulled the meat off the bone as it finished. We also added spinach which we like in lentil soup.
It makes a big batch. For the two of us, we freeze 2-1/2 cups for a meal. Just right for us. And we get several dinners from each batch.
These are my new favorites. There is just the right amount of sweet and spice. GREAT snack.
