Return Policy

  • 30-day return window: You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
  • Item condition: Returns must be unworn, unused, with tags, and in original packaging.
  • Return shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, which will be deducted from the refund.
  • Restocking fees: Pre-order refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Orders fulfilled by our community partner, Powered by People, also incur a 25% restocking fee.
  • Non-returnable items: Sale items, gift cards, perishable goods, custom/personalized products, and hazardous materials cannot be returned.
  • Damaged or incorrect items: Contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can resolve the issue.

Full Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label along with instructions. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted. Customers are responsible for both outgoing and return shipping costs, which will be deducted from the refund.

Refunds for pre-orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Community Partnerships & Special Returns

Some of our products are fulfilled by Powered by People, a valued community partner that supports artisans and small businesses. Returns for these items are handled separately with the following policies:

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • A 25% restocking fee applies to all returned items fulfilled by Powered by People.
  • Return instructions will be provided upon request, as they may differ from our standard return process.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, plants).
  • Custom or personalized products.
  • Personal care items (e.g., beauty products).
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
  • Sale items and gift cards are also non-refundable.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item first. Once your return is approved, you can place a separate order for the new item.


European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

The item must still be in its original condition, unworn or unused, with tags and original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.


Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and inform you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember that banks and credit card companies may take additional time to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved, contact us at info@ethicaltradeco.com.
